Anyone had any experience of using Forte seal conditioner? Good or bad. Did it make any difference?

Apparently you add it to the oil and it softens and slightly swells hardened seal so they are tight again. Presumably we're looking at valve-stem seals here. I assume you put it in for a few days before your oil change is due and then do an oil change as usual.

So, anyone had any experiences of using it?

Hi, have tried that and others in the past, complete waste of money I think.
I have a small drip from front crank oil seal and was thinking about throwing in some seal stuff but never had any luck with them in the past.
 
Hmm, I've just googled up and load of people seem to recommend it - seen a few bmw owners say it has worked for them for example.

Just ordered 2 tubes, my TD5 is blowing lots of oil when cold, fingers crossed it might help, if not I just wasted 30 quid, but it's a damned sight cheaper than a head or short engine rebuild.
 
OK. Cool. Let us know how you get on. I assume it has to be put in at the right concentration. 2 tubes enough for a Rangie? My oil is 9/1/2 litres, I think.

Sounds a bit like Japanese putting on fluid. The stuff you use to automatically rebuild a knackered crankshaft. :D:D:D
 
mobile 1 10-60 for higher mileage engines..which is excellent uses various stuff to help seals etc...its fully syth..may be good for diesels..but is excellent for rv8
 
Well, threw the contents of 1 tube into mine earlier - will see how we go.

Probably needs half the other tube in too, 7.5 litres of oil in engine, treatment requires 2.5% dilution, so I'm only at about 1.6% with 1 125ml tube.
 
I've bunged a tube in my miggy. Done about 300 miles the last day or so. I would say the startup smoke has reduced by about two-thirds, maybe three quarters. So, definitely does something but no magic bullet, or not yet, anyway.

what grade oil you using ? and type
