Now that I have my freelander (2006 TD4) and I doing a complete service. I was just about to order the oil but I wanted to check the oil is suitable, even though the viscosity is correct from what I can tell from the manual sometimes you buy oil and other people say nooooooo not that one. Is this oil suitable for a Freelander 1 TD4

If it is not suitable can someone suggest an alternative.

Thank you

I must admit that I prefer to use a 5w40 fully synthetic oil. There's no need for the engine, but I feel it cranks over faster when cold, and full synthetic doesn't burn so well, should the turbo seals fail.

I am going to go for the Triple QX Fully Synth 5w40.

My car had a service before I bought it and the oil needs topping up, I dont know if they did the oil and if they did no one knows what oil or viscosity was used so have no choice but to drain all the oil and replace, seems a waste but still can't really mix oils I guess
