Hi
I have a series 3 petrol with a reasonably bad oil leak from somewhere.
I am not mechanically minded (so I cant even tell where its from let alone cure it !) and I am looking for a garage in the Kempsey area of Worcestershire to diagnose and see about reducing the leak !!
Any recommendations gratefully received , Thanks.

Get it jet washed and then go for a drive and park with some paper underneath. This will save you time when you talk to the garage and and makes their life easier. There's no mechanical skill required to clean something and see where it leaks but it does take time. I found a recent leak by jet washing, then went for a drive, put an old rug on the ground and laid there until i saw where the drip came from. Better than paying a garage £60 ph to do the same.

I had a persistent leak for my Perkins engine, seemed to be at the front and rear of the engine. As they are known for crank seal leaks I was sure this was it and was looking prices to hire a workshop and drop the sump and replace them. Decided to clean it and lay underneath just in case as it seemed odd both were leaking so badly on a rebuilt engine. Looking up and dodgeing the drips it was obviously the fuel pump. Aftermarket pump had a thinner flange and the nuts had bottomed out and not pinched the gasket properly. Very happy - £2 gasket vs £200 crank seals!
