oil in pipe from turbo

I have just taken the radiator out of my defender (300tdi) and noticed oil in the pipes from the turbo and intercooler , there is also oil from the engine breather which is going into the turbo by way of the pipe from the air filter but not as much as is coming out
does this mean the turbo seals are going or is it normal

A little oil is normal.
There's a cyclone on the breather pipe (engine end). They have a habit of stopping working and allowing oil through. For the sake of a fiver I'd replace it anyway.
