Oil gun, pump thingy....

Just done the second service on my disco, this time I got 20ltr drums of engine oil, mtf and ep oils.

I also got one of them draper oil suction/pump guns so I could get the fluids in the right places

Man, what a piece of ****e! It put 60% in the hole and 40% on the bloody floor!

Trying to load it with EP was not fun, even after I drilled out the pathetic little hole it had in the end where the pipe goes.

So, what do those that know better use to get oil in the boxes on their landys???

Does the sprayer handle ep oils? And is that the one with a trigger on the handle?

Haven't tried the ep with it as ah usually have a couple of old bottles lying around that have the plastic tube on them anyways...

as ye can see, it's quite easy getting the ep in this way

This is what I made.

Funny, its the same sprayer as Buster,s !!

Pumps the gearbox oil in in about 2 mins, and about 8 mins for EP 90 in the Transfer box.

( I too had a suction pump thingy, and it too was crap ).#

If you got a air compressor ,you can buy a air operated oil filler gun ,much quicker than by hand ,have a look at machinemarts catalogue to give you a idea what there like.

£6.59 including postage. Used it for transfer box and gearbox today. Cracking little bit of kit. Each depression of pump is equivelent to 100ml of fluid.

Only thing I had to do was put some cable ties around "outgoing" pipe as force of pump is quite high.
