Oil for bottle jack?

I've, rather stupidly, managed to empty half of the fluid out of my bottle jack and was wondering what type of fluid do I need to refill it? Just for reference it's the landy one from my Disco. Gav. Disco 300tdi.

whatever you do, don't put brake fluid in it!

most jacks just use a light monograde mineral oil.

:googleit: is your friend . Just make sure it meets ISO:VG-32 and SAE 10W spec.

hydraulic oil grade 032 or some times marked as 046

standard hydraulic oil will be fine
