oil cooler pipes????

my mum has a 2.5dse and one of the oil cooler pipes is leaking have not had time to have a good look are both pipes the same or do they have different conections on as also does anyone know a part number so can ring and order one or can anyone recomend somewhere cheaper than dealer?? thanks

Buy both cheap items as they are fine.

You need to take into consideration the fact that the old retaining nuts at the oil cooler may have seized to the threads. One of mine did and I had to repair it. Its very likely that this will happen. The threads weld themselves to the steel hose nut and when you try to seperate them, its wastes the threads.

Pirtek can supply a new fitting, then find an alloy welder to remove the old fitting and fit the new one. About £30 for one new fitting and welding.
