off road kit hard to find

I am sure this will get a fair share of they dont sell it cos gaylander cant do it comments

, but is anyone else finding it hard to find kit for freelanders.
I mean you can get bull bars and side steps easy enough, but cant seem to find lift kits, snorkels, or nice steel off road wheels for freebie. also light bars and the light things that fit onjto bonnet (the name is escaping me) like 4 lights built into plastic that fits to bonnet.... anyway cnat find harldy anything for freelander

any suggestions on where people get things from?

oh and a rear ladder too

, i dont do any off raoding just like pretty toys.

i did search and saw the bit on the ebay lift kit, but that is all i could find which is why i posted. just checked your threads and cant find anything, but then i am a rubbish searcher, so sorry

FWIW you might want to keep comments like that to yourself. Just owning a 4x4 these days is enough to make people judge you, and if you tell them that you have a 4x4 but don't go off road, many will probably hate you. Sure, it's perhaps not an issue on a Landy forum though.

I've already had a few comments like "what do you need that for?! you live in a town" despite the fact that I do venture off the asphalt from time to time. The ironic thing is that my hippo TD4 is actually less polluting than their saloon...

side steps/runners, rear ladder, A bar (all in chrome), front winch, snorkle, stronger sump guard, exhaust guard... will set you back well over £1000. Why bother if your not going to use it?

Roof is only rated at 75Kg so having a ladder on the rear door my be a floored idea, if yer fat.

Mantec make a lot of kit. Think the snorkle is only available for the v6 as they used them on the G4 challenge.

I do plan too off raod its just im saving up for a defender or disco for that, my wife would kill me if i brake the hippo as she loves and drives it

ok ill check out there stock thanks for the tip.

as for wanting side steps etc i do plan to use them if i wanted to go off road surely i wouldnt want side steps as they will just cause issues

Hate is such a strong word also

i might still have time to convince you other wise
