tempting but 30 smackers is fooking expsensive...most meets charge £20 to members and £25 to non members

muddy b is ****e,ive stopped goin there, its full of tossers who want to rag there pile of **** round as fast as they can,and the site doesnt get changed much and becomes very boring very quick

I know what you mean about MBot - ok, there are some tw*ts who go there (the type of people that attach a KERR rope to the chrome nudge bar on their bogged Toyota surf and wonder why it's come flying off!), but to be fair the majority are really great folk. The site has been changed a lot recently, I'm looking forward to going back to see what it's like now.

But, back to my original question, I was wondering what the Somerley site is like?

Tis ok. It has a pretty good mixture of terrain (Couple of local clubs have used it for winch challenge events) but it is mainly woodland.

Probably worth a couple of visits but obviously doesn't get changed as some other sites would.

BTW, in what way has Muddy Bottom been changed recently? I did a challenge event when it was in a wooded area, but I hear that it is now basically a field. What is the case with that site now?

Yes it is basically an open site, although there are some wooded bits near the entrance. If you look at their Gallery, you can see it was revamped on 8th August.

Before the recent changes, I found it was too challenging sometimes (weather dependant) for MOT'd vehicles (mainly because you don't really want to damage an MOT'd motor too much), but now MOT is not a requirement so you could take a rusty old Disco on dumper tyres if you wanted :)

I'm still going to this .

I'm taking my 110DCPU (hopefully on some new KM2's),
and my bro is bringing his Unimog (if the petrol to diesel engine conversion is finished),
and my bro-in-law is bringing his 110 Tdi Utility too.

Anyone else coming?
