Disco 2 ODB Connector Location / Unknown Electrical Plug

Morning All

I've just been out to try and find a place to fix the ODB connector so it's not floating around by the steering column, but can't find anywhere to fix it. Where should it have been?

Also, I found an unused electrical plug, can anyone tell me what it's used for?

There should be a hole in the bottom edge of that compartment closer to the central console, the white plug is for sat-nav equipment

I've actually taken the plastic panel off as it was quite worn and the diagnostic plug just used to push through it. Drove me mad. I can't see any need for the panel.

I've cable tied the cable going to a convenient place so it doesn't get in the way.
