Hi there, just got myself an ELM327 wifi OBD2 gizmo. I'm using it on my iPad/iPhone so need an iOS app.
I've just tried it with the EOBD-Facile app, the free version with limited functionality and it seems to work well but I obviously need to get the paid version to access all the features, there are a couple of others available.

Anybody tried any of the iOS apps, which one is the best? The paid up version of the above ones seems to be good? Or DashCommand?

Any recommendations?

Cheers,
Tim.

I don't use "I" anything. However I've use ELM327 BT adapters on Android devices using an app called Torque many times. It's a handy glove box tool to keep in the car.
Someone will along to answer the "I" in a bit I would think.

Same as Nodge, get an Android and torque .. excellent little program .. :)

However, I'd try to borrow one first .. I dunno about the freelander but when I tried to use mine on a mates Disco 2 it just wouldn't see anything properly.

i use torque generally but theres quite a few out there.

As grumpy says though... "eh eh oohhh" for an early freelander.

Cheers fellas,
Mines a 2006 Td4 and the OBD reader seems to work well with my iPad via wifi, connects easily and displays live data and fault codes but only the basics as it's the free app, need a paid one if I want to clear DTCs etc
It's £7.99 for the paid up version of the one I tried or DashCommander so I'll give one of them a go next week as I'm away from the Freelander for a few days!

Torque Pro on Android and bluetooth OBD2 reader, just basic info selected.
Engine was running at 66 degrees so fitted new 'stat, now opens at 88 degrees.
