not gearbox!!!!

finally got Pig looked at by THE MAN today, and THE MAN took her for a little run and said not gearbox........................... more than likely cracked valve
Hubs had morning off so he took her up so i've got the info second hand but he says he had a real job getting her started this morn, was clattering and popping all the way to wiltshire landy's which is only round the corner and he only got her up to about 20/25 mph
THE MAN says the noise is from unburnt petrol burning in the exhaust, engine is running hot and something else which i can't remember lol he says he won't know for sure till he takes her 'ead orf tomorrow and see's what's going on.
He did say good job i'd stopped driving her otherwise i might have blown her up also said that it's not likely to be cheap to fix but will be cheaper than replacing her think that was supposed to make me feel better lol!!

so MHM i may not be needing your extremely kind offer of a gearbox, i will let you know once i've heard the update from THE MAN
