Hi, I'm new. Does anyone own a Noryb ground anchor? Any good? It's the cheapest on the market as far as I can see.

Many thanks - agreed. I'm tempted to buy the Noryb if only because no one else seems to have one. I suffer from the usual problem with a front-bumper winch - you're pulling yourself further in...

I had 32” Cooper discoverer stt all round, changed my front tyres to insa turbo 2’s. They are bit noisy on the road with the treads but if I get stuck I let the pressures down to about 12psi, they spread out and roll through anything. Works well for what I need as no added front weight with winch also. Seen some have winches in rear bumper spread weight and they say pull back out not in more. I dunno though ; if your going in the first place

Anchor would be nice bit of kit though if you have a winch already

Tyres - good thought - will let air out a bit next time I get stuck, though I'll need to check how much pressure is correct.
Winch - true about weight - the winch bumper is certainly heavy.
Off-roading - I deliberately use the hilly terrain on Skye. So I can normally reverse down hill out of trouble...

There is a steep mountain by me many can’t climb. I used to get up there in my 90 on bald A/Ts. The trick was to not let off and I’d only be up there cutting trees so always had a boot full of heavy wood over back axle. Think it’d weigh you down but defender could handle that it was just distributing the grip it needed

If you zoom in you can see they are pretty wide, that is at 32psi front,30 rear. They spread our really wide below15 so I go at 12 then pump them up with a portable compressor size of a Walkman before going too mad. They are pretty bald in photo they are few years old now.
