a bit last minute but I'm off to north wales (corwen area ) next week for the family holiday, I've got paper maps and will of course check lane status on web before i go but have not been to the area before and wondered if anyone could help with suggestions of driveable lanes? To make matters worse I'll be on road tyres as i haven't sorted my suspension so can't fit me muds ... If anyone can help or up for a day laning next week?

It has been open since April. Although I could be wrong but I happened to be up there on a weekend about that time and it was very very busy. trucks all over the place.

Bit of a late reply... but thanks fellas for the tips, corwen was a minor disapointment as only just over the cills but a nice looking ford nonetheless and our kids loved it :D Oh and the v8 made it through without a splutter for a change! The wayfarers was a nice few hours out, just about do-able on road tyres although i was a bit worried about punctures on the way up over the rocky section. took our time and had a picnic at the memorial, kids tried to fly a kite but it snapped and blew away  Shame about the 4x4 scars on the peat mound at the top ...
