Hi all!

I am finally joining the forum after many years reading interesting and useful posts. Moved to the UK couple of years ago, used to drive a Defender Td5 back home. Looking to buy my first right-hand drive Landy soon... Aiming for the Disco 2!
Main interest is general maintenance and repairs, as well as advice regarding nice rides to get some mud on the wheels on weekends, specially around Solihull area!
Might be able to help with some things too, mainly within ECU/electronics domain. Anyway will probably learn more than teach...

I was once stopped by the police in Solihull for driving a dirty car. I thought they were joking but they were very serious and they got even more serious when I told them to get stuffed but not quite so politely. It was the 70's and I was a long haired yob driving a decent car, I was stopped regularly and it used to get on my nerves.

Damn I thought it was just a joke :) Guess I will have to be extra careful about washing the car when coming back home after an outing... Anyway I think I need to learn many other things before I start any adventures around here... Bit different from what I'm used to regarding right of way, etc. Just started going through the info on GLASS website (https://www.glass-uk.org/).
Any other advice? Maybe there are some groups I could join?
Still waiting for a good deal on a Disco 2, so plenty of time to prepare...
