Hi all,
First issue with freelander 2 with 2.2d. In essence, I start the car and put in drive and the accelerator does nothing even with foot flat to floor. After a couple of seconds it kicks in and seems to be fine. Happened 4 times this weekend. While it is in this sorry state the battery light comes on. Not sure if relevant. Any help from the experts please....
Thanks in advance.

Hi Carl, I've got exactly the same except on a Freelander 1 (TD4). I've just found a faulty connection or broken wire near the fuel high pressure sensor (on the end of the common rail). I can do 80mph one day then the next day I can't get off the drive. Today I had enough time to take a look - with the engine ticking over I touched a few wires and the engine cut out then same again so I'm in the right area but not cornered exactly the wire or connection. In other words it looks like I'm getting a false high pressure reading because of a bad connection.
