Corporate cost-effectiveness ...
In other words they get 'em made more cheaply than they can buy in genuine stock. In most cases this means not necessarily to the same tolerances (Hah, Landrover, tolerances) or quality as the genuine article.
They make more money making (managing the manufacture of) and selling parts than they do buying and selling genuine parts.

i mean britpart not genuine i only buy britpart if there is no other choice
Yes they officially only had a UK and Europe account for the purchase & sale of Genuine Land Rover boxed parts. This has been abused by selling Genuine parts worldwide in territories outside Europe which they were not supposed to do under the conditions of the account. Some other Wholesalers have been doing this as well. Land Rover has had a crackdown on this hence the reason Britpart and others have been advising on Genuine boxed product no longer being available in certain terriitories (outside Europe) from them.
Seeing your location guess this effects you. Product will still be available via various avenues but will cost a bit more. Whether that will be viable for you against local dealer remains to be seen.

Thanks Derrdi for the answer . I run a small parts shop here in Maputo , so now have a problem with procuring genuine parts . I can get the out of South Africa , but there are too many middle men involved - so that forces prices up . Do you know of a person / company that I can appraoch to get genuine parts directly out of the UK ?
