NO diff lock after new clucth

diff lock problem wat is it ?



i have had a new clutch put in last week before i got it done the diff lock worked with the light coming on etc...but since the clutch got done it doesn't work??? the gear stick moves to the diff lock but nothing.

iv told the garage to sort it for free cost it worked before it went in and he said its not down to him ?

is this a common thing to happen as iv seen other post of this in the last few days ??

is it down to the garage to sort out ?????
 
its cold and very wet out,,,why should i do it iv just payed £370, shouldn't the garage sort this out ??? they didn't do the job right

go park it across the entrance to the workshop and don't give them the keys, they'll soon sort it - that's if you are allergic to 5 minutes of work and dirt on yer hands

id never ignore suggestions, just would of been nice for some one to do it for me. well looks like i need to stop been soft and get wet and cold, ( i don't have a garage )
 
maybe you could take a different approach?
how about taking it back and suggest that you have been informed that a wire might have been broken during the clutch change and, rather than take it to another garage and then bill him if the problem is down to him, you have brought it back for him to check.....
 
hello its anthony the one who has been posting the other diff lock probs, the same happened to me i took it to another garage and he said it was somthing to do with the bushes i think,

wat happens is they wear down and the gear stick move in to postion but doesnt have enough strenght so to speak to lock into positon,

i am trying to find out how to change this so keep lookin at my posts

i am the guy who has been posted the other links

this is the problem with mine
the transfer gear stick moves over the the left and stays in the diff lock postion but dosent come on
i can put it in low box and drive it fine ???

are these your problems if any more please tell me so i can check mine out again

How do yu know the difflock isn't working? Just because the light isn't on doesn't mean the diff isn't locked. Jack one wheel up off the floor and with difflock engaged try turning the wheel if it won't turn ya difflocks engaged.
