Night Laning

I am on leave for a week now, so I could go night laning and not be worried if it took longer than expected :eek::eek:

Its getting dark earlier too :D:D:D:D


Going to be Friday 30th August . bridge tavern woodhead rd HD9 2NQ 8pm

Add names to the end and I will update the list

Too far from you but we used to do about a dozen mild lanes in a short distance but got bored with them. Then someone suggested we did them in the dark. A great couple of hours had by all. Completely differant kettle of fish at night. Maybe the lanes you do regularlarly would give you a differant buzz in the dark???

I haven't been doing this long enough to have done anything regularly. But I do have the routes from the Dales trips, great idea, thanks :D:D

Not being a sexist pig but I hope you will be accompanied on said night “shift”. It's harder to get hold of people to bail you out if you get into difficulty.

Went laning with only two of us last week and learned the lesson from that.

Also I haven't been on the recovery training day thats coming up.

I posted this cause I know a few people locally had been talking about it. Just seeing if I could encourage them to go next week.

Any lane at night is good but i fully recommend going out to Derbyshire on your own at 9pm in deepest winter in 2ft of snow and then wait til a blizzard comes in at around 11pm and then get stuck on a lane and get the winch out to recover yourself which is really difficult because the winch rope freezes solid like an ice pop and you cant put your head out of the window to see whats going on because it hurts your face so you work on hand signals with your sub zero winchman and eventually you get home at 2am and thats what we do for kicks :D

:eek::eek::eek: Without being accused of being sexist. I am female, we have a far more advanced sense of self preservation :p

Hence trying night laning in August :D:D:D:D

Sounds like there will be another one later on.

This one is sometime this week, I'm on leave and trying to find reasons not to go into work :eek::eek::eek:
