Hi, I have just brought a Range Rover 4.0l HSE 2001,

What a awesome car, I have had a host of 4x4's in the past the 1st been a defender and the last been an Isuzu Rodeo. I am an active member of the MX5 Community and was in the Isuzu Fourm.

I have got the Rangie and wish to convert it to LPG,

I have done some research on conversion but what are the best systems for this engine and do I need Flashlube to be installed? How much should I be paying for a good conversion.

thanks in advance and I look forward to many posts on here.

James

Do a search for my post "gassed up" that should answer all your questions. I would do a clicky thing but it's tricky from my phone. Welcome.

MX5s are ace, drive one - if you know anything about how a car should handle you'll know why

Cheers I will do a search,

Rangie is great, never driven an MR2 but the early ones have the same concept as the mk1 MX5.

Mine is much better now it runs 200bhp and 240bhp under full boost. bit scary in any conditions other that the dry thought, hence the rangie as a daily driver.

nah all gay little cars, need a gaylander to go with em! :p

8 cylinders is the only way for me, mybe a v8 in an mx5 might be the way forward :D

Running 3 v8's at the mo just to be sure I get the noise I need :D

I've still got my Rodeo. Didn't knowthere was a Forum. Thanks for the info.

I know someone who is in the process of fitting a Lexus V8 into his MX5, its a tight fit!!!

pointless, it'll ruin the handling and reduce it's value to zero

I'd like to see some pictures of it fitted when he's woken up from his dream

I agree in one respect, it will handle like a mellon but straight line will be interesting.

Thats why I turbo'd it, keep the weight down and the power up, fast spooling garrett turbo, link engine management for constant alterations so no lag and the whole car weighs 820kg. Granted when playing its about as good on fuel as the rangie!!!!!!!!!
