First bitten by Lannie bug with a series IIB that I bought for my first German shepherd stayed with both ever since. Now own a Freelander 2 HSE 2014 probably be the last still only 20 odd thousand miles on the clock. I think they finally ironed all the problems out with the last of this model. Look forward to following the really varied range of discussions.

Thanks for welcome. Forgot to mention in my last post I (or my dog) also still run a 2010 Freelander 1 with 123k still a well respected member of our family. Like everyone else getting a bit fed up with restrictions especially as I’ve now started suffering flat battery on 2014 Freelander 2 due to lack of use. Can I leave it on a trickle charge without disconnecting battery?
Stay safe all on site.

Some charger manufacturers tell yer to disconnect the battery when charging it as a precaution. Especially if it's a pulse charger (best type) as electronics doesn't always like pulse charging. It's not vital that yer disconnect the battery to charge it but I choose to on my FL2. Not guaranteed to damage anything. On a rare occasion it can so I choose to disconnect. Why not just sit in it with the egnine on tick over for a bit.
