Newbie td4 2005 Freelander engine problem help

Please help td4 2005 Freelander delay when press accelerator revs up slow or blank spot runs rough seems like firing on 3 cylinders??
Any ideas redditch looking diagnostic reliable person ??

Hi did you find someone for diagnostics and fix this problem.

Asked the question and never came back.....

There must be a way of deleting these useless threads

Hi everyone I was just going to tell itimeforever that I had simmiliar symptoms and it turned out to be a blocked up injector. then I realised it's 2 years old, still got me my first post trophy. And mike after a lot of visits through google. She is now running pretty sweet. Done egr bypass

A few service's (was a bit sludged up that's 146 000 with a egr for ya.) except deisel filter gona do that when it warms up a bit. Only thing I do notice is a when starting cold it is quite a bit noisier for the first minute. And is worse the colder it is outside. I do wonder if there is a semi blocked oil way or maybey a pick up strainer somewhere as there is no warnings on dash for I.e low oil or no pressure. I did at first wonder if it is too thin a oil for the high mileage so went up to 5w40 but not really sure it's made any difference. And I do wonder wether a can of engine flush is a good idea don't no what it might dislodge. But when warm she runs lovely

Don't use engine flush on a diesel!!
Do a couple of oil changes in quick succession, it'll do a good clean and alot Safer.

Yeh thanks mike, first deisel engine owned and worked on. But I thought it wasn't a good idea.
