Hi folks - please take it easy on me, I'm just trying to learn how to use my Landy....
OK, so I know what a diff lock is and I know what the low speed box does but is there a guide on how to select them?? My 1985 landy did not come with a nice little users manual for some reason!!
I know its to do with the little gearknob and I assume that it should normally be in "high" which is pulled back. Looks like Diff Lock is in the middle and Low box is with the little knob pushed right forward. Is it a case of coming to a stop and pushing the little knob into the middle or fully forward? Do I need to move it left or right as I move it between settings? Do I need to push in the clutch to select? How do I know if I have locked the diff or selected low box - are there any lights on the dash that woudl light up to tell me or is it a case of moving off and seeing if the wheels are locked or low gear is engaged??
Sorry to be such a numpty, I am sure you can recall your first week of landy ownership too???
