New toy!

....and yes I've ignored all its problems and just polished it!!!

Quick respray and it'll go for a fortune on ebay!

.. Not going anywhere till me and my son have finished playing with it




...well actually it's not capable of going anywhere yet!

This is what we think it needs

New tyres
Welding to the front crossmember
Dashboard lights don't work
Ignition barrel needs changing as it needs a wiggle to work!
Steering box has leaked all its oil out
Rust under windscreen
Clutch needs bleeding
Headlights don't match and one seems very dim anyway
Dynamo isn't charging at idle

Could be worse

I presume the colour is marine blue? Anyone got any spare paint ;-)

That's what we all do when buying a second hand Land Rover

....add 6 new ball joints to the list
Leaking swivels...

The other side is a lot worse....

i think the technical term is **** poor repair

Note use of thin bodywork to cover up the rust... No wonder it snapped

Did a child repair that? Jesus!

looks as though the pigeon's have done the welding

Well most of welding finished, (pictures later)
Rust proofing the chassis has started
Ignition barrel changed
Clutch bled
New - to me! tyres and wheels bought
6 ball joints fitted
Steering box filled with oil, it was empty, it's not leaking out yet....
I'm starting to dream about an mot now ;-)
