Hi Y'all
Had a TD5 for 12 months, had a few issues, whenever web searching for solutions this forum keeps appearing,so i thought i would get some of the action.
Christ just reading through all the posts i,m wondering why people buy these Fecc&*s
The idea behind running a mode of transport is to get from a to b safely, quickly and economically.
Sounds like the 1st 2 qualify for these 4x4 Mutha,s
But economically seems impossible, you all seem to spend most of your precious weekends rebuilding the barsteds.
I suppose you enjoy working on em,i personally throw mine at a techie.
Not LR techies in particular,i cant afford the cost.
I was asked for £89.00 + V.A.T. for a highly qualified and smart LR techie at a certain LR Dealer to do a diagnosis as to why my car would be pulling to the left.
Then after being light for worst side of quid,i would have to pay £95.00 an hourish.
OUCH
I decided to take it to a do all makes place.
£19.99 for a full inspection and 38 quid an hour to fix it.
They found an airbag hissing out air on the back right causing the car to lean over right at the back.
This in turn threw it over to the left a bit.
Also the front shocks were U.S.,and the bushes at the bottom of em were looser than a whores pantaloons.
So got some new bags and shocks from Paddocks cheep.
Had the job done for 150 quid with V.A.T. + parts.
I think this is a bit of a result.
The only gripe on the old gal at the moment are the tyres, big 18 inch follow every single line in the road feck^%s
Apart from that the spec is fab with the cruise, auto,ACE,SLS,Cream Leather,Leccie seats,Foldy mirrors,e.t.c.
Like it a lot.
