Hi My name is Greg. Recently I've purchased my first Range Rover and I hope that you'll be able to advice me the best place in the area (Derby) where I can go on street tires and try some soft off-road, green-lane experience with my family.
Who knows, if I like it, maybe next one will be Defender!

It's 2013 3.0 TDv6 , white with black interior.
I'll try to take some pictures later today, if I won't forget ;)

Here are some promised photos. ;)

I just wanted to give it a go. I was more planing to go for a very, very soft ride just to see how it feels on the road that is not a tarmac. After all that is what Land Rovers are all about, right? ;)

You'd be better buying a car which you don't mind getting durty or even heaven forbid, scratched.
OR, get rid of the big fancy wheels and some proper LR wheels and tyres on it and it'll go anywhere (almost!)

Itl go for a little mud in those tyres no probs, presuming you know how to drive off-road??

There’s pay and play days where they will tutor you as you go in your vehicle and there’s loads people there doing same thing.

If you go for a wander we tend to go in pairs, that way if one of us gets carried away and gets stuck/breaks something the other can tow you out and help pointing and laughing

Thanks for the info.
I do have a general knowledge on riding off-road, but no experience at all. And I'm not fooling myself my that I'm ready to go. I just need to start EASY somewhere...
I'll try to find something suitable soon.
I have another questions. Inside of the car boot floor are all of these compartments for detachable tow bar etc. some of them are missing (someone nicked them before I've purchased a car). Could you tell tell me what suppose to be there? Maybe take a picture of your, if it is complete.

I have a P38 so different kit. I also have my own instead as the jack won’t work with a lift kit. I have a spare wheel in there! something only offroaders have these days :D if you start a thread in RR section asking what kit they carry it’s sure to get plenty suggestions, they’ll know what’s supposed to come with it too
