Hi all,
Just joined the forum - had a good look around plenty of knowledge and good banter.
Bit of background - currently have (well its the wifes motor for towing the horser trailer) a 1993 L plate discovery 200Tdi. Had it approx 5 years been and still is a great motor - previously had a 3.5 efi rangie but swapped it for the Disco.
Although i'm not a mechanic by trade I do all my own maintenance on my small fleet currently consisting of a 2000 Bora Tdi, 1997 Audi Cabriolet the 1993 Disco and my lotus 7 type kit car (robin hood) which is still under construction - long story - had it 10 years but keep changing my mind on its specification so keep taking it apart.LOL. The way i see it if you want something doing right and you're capeable of doing it - do it yourself.

Wife would like a newer 4x4 with a few more creature comforts - so found this forum while researching the various options - all Land Rover obviously.

Cheers
Andy

Yeah she knows the Disco will stay until i find something that i'm happy with and even after that i'll probably sell the Audi Cab and keep the Disco - perhaps do a bit of greenlaning with it. To be honest its a good one as far as i can tell - never required any welding for its mot - regularilay waxoiled and undersealed inside and out. Front n/s inner wing will need a bit of attention soon - probably more than a bit when i remove the wing.LOL, but apart from that its not too bad. Have recently done cam belt and service etc and the price of parts is cheap compared to most other makes.
