Sounds like you've got one of the better ones. My understanding of L322's is they're broken down more than working...
Excuse my warped sense of humour...I'm from Lancashire originally...that explains a lot!

Hi Nick
I have a L322 Range Rover, the gearbox stop going into drive it stayed in neutral, that’s what it said on the dash. So had it transported to a garage. They got working, they told me it was a sticky stepper motor, took it off and cleaned it all up and I drove it home. When I got in it the next day the same thing happened again

Excellent. Sounds nice. Low mileage too. Head over to the Range Rovers sub forum and post your problem in there, then the smart people - not me - can have a go at helping you out. I'm sure someone will recognise it. (They will want to know same stuff too I'm afraid). I do have an L322 - but I have not come across this problem - loads of others - but not this one.
