Hello from Wales. Had my blue disco 1v8 for 8 years now (joined at the time but forgot logon etc) and just managed to reset.
My v8 is mostly standard except for turner top hat replacement and lpg with underslung tanks.
I want to get rid of the prince of darkness electronics with either megasquirt or canems but unsure which one to use. mostly use the disco for towing and light greenlaning. Need some help with exhaust manifold so will ask question in engine forum. My other fixation is moto guzzi bikes, having had a lemans from the early 80’s.
Cheers Hamish

Hi Kermit
Car came with tubular manifolds so no cats, difficult to get through emissions every year so want to go back to standard, that means replacing the manifolds, the only ones I can find for my VIN are disco 2 ones err7393 & err7394, so I wanted a bit of advice if that was correct. I bought a lemans after a Kawasaki and a Honda both felt very flexible cornering, was fed up with old Brit rubbish and was severely let down by Ducati when the crank went and no support was given. The lemans was reliable, relatively fast and quite economical, still is.

Hi Kermit
Mine runs lpg too, and passes on that, as presented, however, although the oxygen sensors are screwed into bosses in the manifolds, it wouldn't take much for an excessively diligent person to work out that there are some bits missing:)
I also hope that with the correct fueling it may use less fuel when lpg not available, such as North of Inverness. Might save me carrying a couple of 20l Jerry cans full in the back. Looked at putting an additional doughnut lpg tank and a smaller petrol tank but the only manufacturer has stopped making them, and with the demise of shell lpg stations getting gas is becoming more difficult.
