Introducing myself: I joined about a week ago, but have been trolling the pages for about a month. You guys seem like a good lot, and don't belittle, which I find on a lot of forums (but different subjects). Anyhow, I don't own a "landy" but I want one, and I like to do a lot of research. I'm currently stationed in the UK, and planning to leave with a defender in 2020. So, I guess I'm looking for a '95. The funny thing is my wife is totally egging me on to get one, so it's nice that we are both in. I think I'm settled on a 110, and trying to learn about chassis, bulkheads, LT77s, etc. I think I've come to where I would rather have it overhauled and in working fashion so I know what "right looks like" out of the gate. So, since Liveridge is shuttered (according to this forum) I was thinking about working with Foley. Anyone have any input on whether it would be better to purchase my own 110 or let them supply (cost wise)? I'm not in any great hurry, but I've already caught one guy that heavily points to clocking (Foxhills Defender Center) and one guy trying to pass a chassis that was in need of a lot of elbow grease (and not the grease that was 1/2 in thick over the corrosion). I don't have the daily time scouring the UK for a reputable person to deal with, nor have I spent a lot of time taking apart and putting back together automobiles--and can I become competent in less than 2 years? Anyhow, I'm interested in what you savants think. Cheers.

That’s a beaut!
Don’t you just love the look of it when you see it? It seems to be quite the debate on the forum over gearboxes, thanks for helping me clear that up. What parts are you in, F-J? I’m in Newmarket.
