Hi guys new member here after having a l322 5 years ago decided to jump back into one

got myself a l322 4.4 v8 last week don’t get me wrong it has its faults but working through them slowly

1 - suspension wasn’t operating correctly (battery replaced all good)

2 - car broke down 2nd day of ownership (new air flow meter)

3 - keep getting the trans fail safe prog (new xyz switch required ) or may just strip and clean

4 - last fault is radio randomly changes stations and then goes to maximum volume (not found the fault yet presume could be steering wheel buttons?

Simple to rectify Fault 4: Remove steering wheel!

Upon removing steering wheel is a case of cleaning some contact up or removing buttons ?
Sorry Damo...I was being flippant!. A thick skin is essential for all Landy Owners.
I have a spare wood/leather steering wheel I'm planning to renovate, but have yet to discover the fun - and possible pain - of taking one off yet.
Happy motoring - and welcome to the madness!
Mike
PS: What part of Manc-Land are you from?

Oh god my bad I’m not feeling to good so it went straight over my head ha ha

I’m from a glorious place place called Oldham o_O
Haha...I have that effect on people...usually extremely attractive women!
I have family in Oldham but, despite visiting numerous times, have yet to find the attraction of living there...ONLY JOKING!
I imagine that contact cleaner - NOT WD40* - will be your friend when investigating switches on steering wheel.
Before attacking it, DON'T FORGET TO TAKE PRECAUTIONS AGAINST INADVERTENT DISCHARGING OF ARI BAGS!
Mike
* WD40 make an excellent Contact Cleaner as well as their standard WD40, which gets used inappropriately for almost everything!

Depending upon your location I am squeezed between Chadderton and Failsworth in New Moston Manchester.
Welcome to the zoo of disgruntled field mice and voles.

I’m allowed to call oldham I live here ha ha

I’m based near the FA cup winning stadium of Oldham athletic
"Meat pies sausage rolls, come on Oldham give us a goal", ringing in your ears. By heck your brave to venture out when match day on. All those Tholdum fans with glum faces heading home.

I spent a good few years at Oldham college and local pubs and snooker halls back in the 80s, also went to school in Moston, played pool for a pub team near Failworth, did some work at Brirish Aerospace Chadderton. A good trip down memory lane.

Steering wheel easy enough to remove if it's the same as my 2005. I used a couple of BBQ skewers in the holes at the back of the airbag module. I have a spare lying around if you need one to try.

Moston had a school:eek: where tell me. Lob Brick school on Moston lane known locally as Mozambique lane. Scarper on Kenyon lane now known as Kenya lane
:p I kid because we blow rasberry at each other over the nuthurst road rail bridge.

I watched that video before

keep seeing posts about the rotary coupling I’m leading more towards that as being the main culprit at fault as sometimes the heated steering wheel button works and then doesn’t
