alright guys

recently bought a 97 disco 300tdi 107k as a project im after some advice im wanting to go off roading not hardcore but on a budget ;)

im thinking of getting off road tyres possible bfgoodrich all terrian steering guard diff guard.

i have a few holes in the boot and inner wings todo but like i say its a project  also the rear windows dont work and the central locking is a bit glitchy the front drivers door dont lock as the rear passanger doesnt too but the other 2 do ???

also im from Ilkeston so any one know any good green lanes in area ? i kno there is the desert in mansfield

I green lanes with a std disco for over four years and never had any issues at all. Modified the Hornet and what do you know,,got stuck, got broke, got mending. It's the landie circle of life

update got chunky tyres , 2 diff guards and steering guard. took the bottom part of my bumper off as well. think im going desert in mansfield on sunday so will see how that goes any one been there ???

The Desert is good fun, but beware the stuff you're driving on isn't mud, it's a sort of clay/sand that will stick like concrete once it's dry on the surface. It stays damp inside and rots stuff like buggery!
I'm in Hucknall and often go greenlaning.

i thought i would give it a try to get feel of my landy then i can have a go a green laining do you go most week ends ? im looking to go laining with a few people as i dont want to go on my own and get stuck lol

I've just moved back to nottm few months ago .if you go green lanning or to the desert let me know usefull to have back up for a tow..I'm in Clifton so not far away

my mate went to the desert on sunday and said there were loads getting stuck cos the ruts have got that deep now, and he has 3" lift and running special tracks...

Havnt done any around here for years, last month did a few round kingslynn and Thetford areas..
Since I've been back in nottm just been fitting new bumpers ,tree sliders ,wheels and tyres just got to fit wading kit get a steering guard
Then she'l probably break down

Sounds good to me just my landy aint hardcore just got big muddy tyres diff gaurd and steering guard but let me know when you want to do something
