Disco 2 New key and remote

hi all,

I need a new key and remote for my disco mainly just as a spare. I have the EKA code. What sort of price should I be looking at paying. As I went to a locksmith today and he did not seem keen to do it and said it would cost about £200 which I thought seemed rather expensive.

Remote key will provide a key and a programmer for iirc about £90.
You will still need to get the key blade cut. Local shoe repair shops tend to do it OK.

Alternatively, If you know someone with a nanocom they can program the car to accept either an 2nd hand D2 key or a Rover 75 key.

My whole new key buying experience with this company was spot on,
I bought the new key then went to my local timpsons and paid the guy a tenner to do a great job of cutting it to copy my originals, he was hesitant at first and said he didn't wanna mess it up but I trusted him to do it and he finished it well in one minute.
BUT If you buy a key from remote key and are able to send them both the new one and your originals they'll cut it for you for free with a 24hr turnaround. Which is great

Editing this, I knew @neilly would beat me to it whilst I was writing that reply!

If you don't have any success with getting a new key blade cut, I failed on a number of occasions, There is a seller on ebay who reckons he can successfully cut a blade from a photograph. And he guarantees that it will work.

Just to add to brian47's post about getting a key cut from a photo, I contacted the guy a few months ago regarding a snapped key. I sent him photos as he suggested of the two bits pushed together (they were a precise fit) and he sent me a new key blade from that. And it works.
