New interior 300tdi

Over the past year and a half i have been making sure the mechanical side is all good, now i am turning my attention to the cabin. It is the beige interior i have at the moment which does look dated. Years ago i got the interior paints and changed an old grey escort to black and it was really good, anyone done that with there disco? Also anyone ever tried making up there own seat covers? i cant get the handles off on the front head rests to paint them and cover the seat. Cheers
