hi there new to this site had a good look around thanks great site.

just bought a 02 freelander station wagon in met green after having 13 years of buying vauxhalls nice to have a change, mind you it pulls my caravan easier lol and quicker.

anyway a couple of things to start me off.

im after some cheap side steps, light covers and bull bar any ideas or links second hand pref if tidy i like to do my own vehicles up more pleasure that way.

also tried a bit of 4x4 round by us in mid-wales quite impressed hill desent is a good thing he he scared the misses.

1 point i would like an answer on is does the gear stick in all freelander shake when driving not used to it if so.

With regard cosmetic upgrades try E-bay out search under Freelander and away you go, i bought some side steps for my wifes 5 door model from there for £135 delivered (Brand new) they are a doodle to fit.

As for the gear lever vibrating, in my 02 TD4 it does move slightly but only during town driving, once on the move its perfect.

On the model I'm getting there are no side steps and I'd like to add these. I'm presuming (won't have the car for a fortnight!) there's pre-made holes/fittings/clips for the side steps to slot into/on? Is it really that easy to fit yourself? (Being a non-mechanic!).
