Hello, to all hope you are all well.
Im having a anoying problem....
Everytime i go over a ...lets say higher than average bump, my interior lights go off and the sign of open door lights.
I traced it to the back door , trunk.
The door doesnt move i have cleaned where the door locks and all but it continues.
Might it be a sensor problem?
Anyone knows how to fix it. I am a week from my 900 miles trip and i dont want to stop on the motorway times and times to open and close the trunk.
Many thanks all

Assume you mean the interior lights go on?
There is a switch in the lock assembly that confirms door latched.
Could be the switch, wiring or connector with a bad connection.
Tailgate door panel and lock off and have a look. Temp link the wires going to the switch to see if it cures it.

Could be a dicky earth wire or corroded contact

From memory, the door open sensor is grounded on one side, so a bad earth wouldn't be the issue.
It sounds like the sensor (it's just a switch) contacts aren't opening enough, either due to an issue with the latch, or maybe the sensor itself.
