Mystery Electrical Plugs!

Gday Guys..I was giving the beastie a bath this morning ('01 V8 S2) when I found a couple of mystery electrical connectors. They were under the bonnet close to the windscreen on both sides of the vehicle near the bonnet hinges in the water well there. They have a purple and black wire coming out of them.

Any clues? I havent tested them yet to see if they are live or switched.

They are the plugs for a heated front screen,which you really dont need in WA ! Fantastic place wish I was there.
