Well, I can finally post in the FL2 section :D

Picked this up today, then took it on a long trip to Yorkshire to collect a G4 light bar for the other one, lovely little car reeeeeeeeeealy comfortable!!

Its an SE TD4 Auto with full LRSH, panoramic sunroof, climate control, sat nav, heated electric seats and so on.

Oh, and its orange.....

what ever you do don't go to a desert in it you will never find it, I would prefer one with a wheel on the back, that why I brought one of the last freelander 1 2006 hse with all mod cons looks like I will be keeping it a while I do not want a landrover with out a wheel on the back.

This one has a full size wheel inside the boot, ok you lose a little boot floor depth, but it stays nice and clean!

My favourite colour. Such a shame Land Rover decided it would be a ltd edition, first year only colour.

Yup the colour is the reason I went for that one, can't be chewed with the boring colours that everyone has! It was Tambora or Tonga green! Only Tonga I could find was a GS and 2 grand more for the same age but less spec, so this one made very good sense

So... time for mods on your new Peugeot ekhum... Land Rover :D

Shame they didn't do the FL2 in kinversand, would probably have really suited it!

Got passed by an Evoque today in a lovely deep bronze colour, was lovely!

I love the colour on mine. It seems to polarise the sexes though, most blokes like it and most women dislike it, including my missus! She even got me to price up a full wrap and also a paint job!

The Evoque does look good in that bronze, and I agree the fl2 would suit kinversand too.

Real nice looks the dogs I'd put the lamp guards and g4 roof rack under protection on if your taking it off road but looks nice basic

what about when your boot is full and you have a flat tyre I believe on the latest range rover you can get a swing away wheel mount pity they do not do one for the freelander 2 or I might be tempted as they do have more room in and bigger engine's

Empty the boot ;) I always would empty the car (as much as possible) if I was jacking the car up to change a wheel anyway :D

Not too many mods planned for it really, it's going to stay largely a road car, got them to stick a full new set of Wrangler M&S tyres on it (anybody who has ever dealt with Stratstone will know how difficult it is to get them to do anything), and they last for a good 30k so tyres will be staying for a while!

All I have planned so far is.... window tints, rear spoiler, roof rails (maybe), remap, interior armrest.

The issue with the ladder and light guards is that on this one the wings are metal as opposed to plastic, so really against drilling holes in them!!

Oh, and as for comparison, they're like night and day, the auto gearbox helps, but it's just lovely to drive!! Averaged 32mpg over 300 miles, given I couldn't get over 28 in my FL1 manual, I'm very happy! Was sat on 37mpg on my 227 mile trek to yorkshire, that was about 170 miles on cruise control at 70 too!!

As for a pallet, the boot opening is wider, so probably can, however I'm not going to try :D

you mentioned stratstone's (Hanley) that is where I had mine from and yes it is difficult getting anything out of them even with a threat of not fit for purpose, as on the back of mine there was Sunny car tyre's and not proper 4x4 tyres in the end I fitted Michelin's syncrones all round ,and a week later they said they could do me a set cheap. I said to late and next time I swap my car I probably would go else where.
