Hi, I have a Defender 90 (1985) that's refusing to start. It's been running great. But I went out the other morning and just clicked a couple of times, then turned over (slower than usual but fast enough to start) but didn't fire. It's got the td5 lump (been er block) and the diagnostic said it was low fuel pressure. I've changed the regulator, still not firing and I'm getting the same message; she's always fired first swing. Any ideas, please?

We'll just have to work through a bit at a time, I've got a spare starter so might start there (pun intended) as she's slow to turn even with the booster pack. Cheers Freelance

Could still be battery Ive had duff ones where they pull so much power from the jump pack/jump car they still spin over slow.

Fully charge your battery, (even if it takes 24 hours) then try and fire her up.
Make sure that you have good earts all round and that the connections between the alternator and the battery are clean and sound.
Doind that will sort out many of the problems you describe.
