Obstinate rear wheel hub nut just won't come off. Wot's the bet way.....breaker bar......impact socket.......or just hammer the f**k out of it with a cold chisel???????

I think I needed to use a box spanner with a trolley jack handle levering on it, to undo one of mine. The other was no problems at all. If its really tight and you're hammering it, you'll need to replace the nut and might damage the thread too. If you use the proper tool, it will be easy even though its tight. eg if you have access to an air powered impact driver, it will be easy.

you have unbent the locking ring eh? otherwise you going nowhere
and yes you need the box spanner. 52mm
