I started posting in the introduction section before I found this section so I do apologize..

The link is here

and I'll carry on posting here from now on

So far I only have a few niggles to sort out. The main one is the drivers door will only unlock from the key (all other doors lock and unlock)
And the central locking isn't working at all...also the key fob doesn't work
Any ideas

Hi, I'm always amazed at the answers that are posted in Forums, obviously the poster have have never owned a RRc or a disco 1 .

As fo the fob not working... well it could be anything, iffy battery out crystal or as simple as it requires re synchronised to the security ecu.
The issue u have or may have is because the master actuator in the drivers door requires a slight adjustment.
So remove the door card to access the actuator, and then loosen slightly the four screws that hold the actuator mounting plate to the door, then move the plate either way while operating the fob to get the unlocking/locking to function, the amount of movement is only a 'mm' or two and as soon as it fully functional tighten the four screws, and then refit the door card. Job done.

Will this solve the issue with the key not locking the drivers door too?

I've got a 15 inch wheel on my Disco, found it much nicer to drive.

Just make sure you get the right steering boss, oh and you'll lose the auto cancel on your indicators unless you can figure out how to make that work, I haven't bothered yet, it doesn't annoy me enough to bother.

My auto cancel doesn't work anyway

Mine's a standard leather one with the airbag in the middle but I'm not sure what the diameter is.
