This is my ex RAF 88 she's hopefully going to be my first car too

Theres a few ideas I have for her but all of them I unsure off as of yet there's no major rush just a few little holes here and there as she's had some repairs before

Well she's not the prettyist thing in the world but at the end of the day she's a Landover

Also there one major problem there's no engine but luckily I know someone that said I can have 3 engines a mint, 2.25 petrol the other two I've been told run but ones a 2.25 diesel and the others a defender 2.5 n/a diesel

Well anyway as soon as I got her home I started work I got some seats off a mate some nice leathers out of an Alfa £20 pound buy there nice to sit on one has a bad rip bit I don't mind

Thinking about the whole defender front or trying to find a stage one v8 front but got this little lit for now

All I need is a bonnet and a slam panel

I also had no front bumper so £10 later I had a 90 bumper with a little modifying she went on

So I really need to get on and get the engine bay nice and clean with a fresh coat of paint so I can get an engine in still haven't decide what engine I'm going to use yet

Also have a bikini top that I might put on in the summer but with our weather in the summer I might not

Also thing that need putting in and getting hold off is 90 tank out rigers as I've got a 90 modified fuel tank that I got with her that's not fitted yet

Also have this picture with my dad's disco that I like

Also ever 17 year old need music

My grandad give me an old Kenwood mask might not be the most amazing heat unit but its sounds unreal and found a few withing like 2 amp outs and a 13 pin CD changer port that I've found lead that will change that to rca so I can plug my phone in so I'm a happy 17 year old

Plus this is all my own money I'm putting in and that feeling of doing so is great

More updates to come

Looks like a nice little project :)

One question....Why a stage1 front end? It's a Series and proud and trying to pretend it's something it's not isn't going to do it any favours.

Looks good:) have fun.
I agree about the series front end though personally I'd keep it as is, I think it looks better than the fender front end and I have a fender, just stick a big winch in the hole;)

I might do but I know if I put the defender front I've got more room for a bigger engine/rad as I know someone with a bonnet slam panel and a defender n/a rad

A n/a 12j will fit without moving the slam panel as will a 200tdi and both will run happily hooked up to a Series radiator.....

Your choice though

a 2.5 N/A fits fine as it is (only need to move one engine mount) , its whats in mine and is great.

Personally I think if you want something that looks like a defender, buy a defender, serieses have lots more character about them

a defender front end on a Series just looks a bodge in my opinion and when talking about giving the ability to put bigger engines in, that's tosh

my dad (many years ago) put a 3litre IoE engine into his '52 swb without having to move his grill that far forward

I just like the defender from I'm just going to try it if I don't like it I'll just move everything back

Got my king cab on now I know its off a 90 but it was 20quid with the windscreen and taking some shocks of a mates motor still got to mod the bulkhead and finish he rear off but I really like the way it looks

with having the door fitted to the rear you loose a lot of space in rear as you cannot store anything on floor so that door opens.
Have you seats in he rear of king cab section?
