MTF instead of EP90?

Not sure why you're struggling to get it. It's a widely available product,as an example Smith and Allan oils will sell you 20lt delivered for £45(buy it off eBay as cheaper than website). Any good indy motor factor will have but possible in smaller more expensive quantities. Use the right stuff, anything else could cause problems

As above - use the right oil. And.... if you were to use thinner oil - it will probably leak out of every available nook and cranny....

Availability isn't a problem - its on the bay in all possible quantities.

Yes, should have clarified... get it locally at a reasonable price- by the litre it's extortion!

Just looked into Smith & Allan as I've never heard of them before. Fantastic, thank you. I've order 20 litres of GL4 EP90 and the same of 15w40 mineral for the enginen £90 quid delivered which is a bit more than I was expecting to spend to refill the landy, but it's enough oil for nearly 3 complete refills! By comparison enough for a full refill with a bit left over was looking at around 65 quid when bought locally.

Thanks again.

Morning gang. Is it ok to use 75w80 MTF in the gearboxes and axles instead of GL4 EP90? I'm struggling to get hold of GL4 and ECP have a deal on this at the moment...

It is GL4 rated, but I don't know about its EP properties. Its a bit thinner but not too concerned about that.
Thanks!
stick with ep in the diffs because of the crown wheel and pinion, the boxes will run on engine oil or another gear oil ok
