moving switches from center console to center console arm rest/cubby box

How do these switches work exactly? Is it +/- from source then reversable +/+ to the window spinning the motor in opposite ways for up / down?

One of the red wires to black +to- blows the fuse, does that mean a bad connection completing a circuit giving 2 much volts/amps cos its not siphoning it off to the window?

You need to swap the blue and the red/green wires.

The switch is a double pole/throw type and wired to reverse the polarity going to the motor.

Ok ill try that, but as is in the pic its exactly the same as drjvers side light solid - same with stripe- colour-negative..
Drivers side is light-orange-orange-red stripe-grey-negative so same as this pic but substituted colours

Too dark now ill try tom..

I agree with swapping them as per diagram.....drivers side is wired differently.

Theyre not listed for the L-series under circuit diagrams in early RAVE. Theyre however under accessory fitting descriptions. But there is no way to print from early RAVE(protected pdf) and its to many pages to take screenshots. So better to get a copy of RAVE for yourself.

I did a screenshot of diagrams from 2001-2003MY(rear fogs) and 2004MY(front) that might be helpful.

I picked a cheap official wiring kit up when i fitted my fogs plugs straight into the fuse box had a switch and relay etc it was pretty simple..

Cheers guys you were right red green for blue 2 must have pulled out when stripping the wire and id just forgotten, i can pick up double din dvd gps and fit it now...
