HI im just trying to move the switches from the center console(bellow heater controls), to a center console arm rest i bought and i have a couple of questions..
1, when i was popping the switches out the lower right next to ashtray was a blank but it had a plug in the back-blue in colour- whats this wiring for? could it be fitted and just need a switch or is it just spare harness?, ones ive got are window-locks-window-rear window-12v socket in that order left to righ top to bottom..

2
when removing the heater controls /radio there was also another spare plug there black one row of pins about 6 pins long (female section) it also had braided copper wire to the rear?

freebie one swb commercial

ill post some pics in a min when i pop back to the van to take some?

ah nothing i need to move then,

got an issue tho now ive either flatened the battery(most likely) or something els all i get now is a clicking (selonoid i guess)which im not familiar with from a flat bat but having moved the switches to the new console im hoping ive not cocked something up, they all work fine (exept pass window prob not quite enough juice in the flattish battery)?

yep alls good except the pass window still fails im guessing i got a wire wrong or its as i used slightly lower guage wire on that switch as it was all i could find would that affect it?

ok the pass window is blowing fuses?, all i did was chop the plug and reconnect the corrisponding wire back together the wire i used is slightly thinner guage could this cause this to happen?

it was all i had to hand last night

ok ive just tried again with some heavier duty wire (same as canibalized for drivers side which is fine)and a new fuse getting the same result interior light/radio dims but nothing from the window until fuse blows?

it was all working fine until i started this..

could the window have gotten stuck (not sure what could have caused this from what ive done)

the corrisponding wires are all wired to the correct mate,as i cut one a joined the same eone back together having extended the wire not sure .

one prob might be one of the pins pulled out of the plug and theres 5 pins 6 holes now im certain its back in the right one.... switch light-gap-red/green-red-blue-black- which matches the drivers side (colours diff) it woul be the blue that was pulled, ive tried it in bith spots and it seems to do the same.

If someone doesnt mind poping the switches for me and posting a pic id appreciate it..

this is what ive got..
(dont panic the spades and lecky tape are temporay fixings..and ill replace the blue wire as its split )

If you are blowing fuses something is wired up wrong. You need to double check the colours link each end.

:faint2: Oh my god... what a great electrical job...

Maybe just use the wiring diagrams?, every wire is described with gauge and color. With that knowledge you can made a proper harness ?

Like I said temp fix what I need a a pic of some one else's plug so I can confirm I've got the connector that can out back in the right spot..

does it blow the fuse when you have the switches are removed?
if yes than the problem is in the wiring, if not plug one switch at a time and work out witch one is causing the trouble;
check right and left window switches, wiring should be the same on both
