Going to be swapping my tired defender 300 and tbox with stuff from a disco of a similar year. My budget only really stretches as far as new fluids, filters, timing belt and a couple of seals, so I'm hoping to use the engine and gearbox mouunts from the disco for now as I know mine are old.

Are they interchangeable between defender and disco?

New engine and gearbox mounts are about £20 for all four

Really? The ones I've seen are 40 each! That sounds more betterer!

Are the rads and intercoolers the same?

Yes they are, the only difference is the frame that holds them in place

Yeah. While I've got the engine out I'm going to change seals too, what are advisable to do on engine, gearbox and t box?

There's some huge price differences on buying knackered discos on eBay, one went for 1100 quid the other day with no mot whilst another was 103. Mine was 510:p

Is yours an original 300tdi or are you taking the axles off it for yours?
