The old girl is good for another year on the road, she only failed on a knackered rear seat belt mechanism but there was a spare rrc in the yard so we nicked one of that:D so she's now got 13 months mot. woop woop.

i dont see the problem here...

mot is real easy to pass..its so basic..one should keep car well above mot standard as a matter of course..

Congrats on the passes. Mine recently passed after failing first on emissions. He asked me if I'd done any engine jobs that would cause it. Suddenly I remembered pulling out all the vac piping for the cruise but hadn't got around to replacing it. Duh. So new silicone tubing soon sorted it. However I've got a dilemma... In the past my mot guy (always used the same) said my p38 was one of the best he'd seen, but this year it had developed a fair bit more underside corrosion than previous years. Problem is it's not getting enough use, 1000 miles over the last year. Makes me wonder if it's time to change, but then again, the exhaust goes rusty, so what. As long as the chassis holds up it's still a great backup car.
