Missing Coolant????

I am losing coolant at a rate of knots about 2 pints every two days there is what looks like a drip from the front under the rad but when I got under to look was dry the engine has only done 25k from new and oil dip stick oil is clean and expansion tank cap is clean no steam out the back and no loss of power - is there anything I am missing or is there a dye I can put in to see where it is going ??

its prolly only escaping when under pressure look over the coolant system very carefully and try to find traces of coolant. usually a scale/stain.

I will do just seems strange I replaced the rad but not all the hoses when I put the new engine inbut did notice that one of the spring clips on one hose was not totally tight so maybe just replace the hoses and clips wont do any harm also had to remove the inlet and outlet to the heater matrix to flush it through so thought I had disturbed the o rings but there is nothing in the footwell will keep informed

Problem solved there was a small hole in the hose from the rad to the expansion tank which had allowed the system to get low on coolant pressurise and after replacing the hose was still losing water it had caused a failure in the rad but was at the bottom where the plastic and metal are sealed took ages but eventually it let go so new rad problem solved
