Misfuelled FL1

It wasn't me before you say anything, but Sarah has just put £75 worth of petrol in her td4

She drove about a mile down to work before it spluttered and cut out (unfortunately it is now left in a disabled space).

I don't think the RAC cover us for misfuelling, so do I pay up, or tow her back to the farm and drain it?

Is there a way to separate the petrol out? Would go nicely in my mini! Though I'm not sure it is worth the risk in a high pressure petrol.

Apparently it was smoking white and stinks, has it done any damage?

Forget the flaming petrol its contaminated anyway..... Someone full of ****... sorry I mean more knowledgeable will post but I think there could be some damage. Skimming the below it doesn't sound too bad maybe diesel into petrol is a worse one.

Got the RAC recovering it to James Ayres place for them to look at. They reckon it could have burned out the injectors.

That's what I thought I had heard of before oddly the aa link seemed to be covering pump mainly. Along with the RAC

If they got£75 in, not much diesel in tank, so petrol is probably useable
