Hi,
At the bottom of my there are two which I disconnected in order to remove the rad. There was oil in this part but it was a different colour to the engine oil.
Where does this oil come from?

There's a couple of rather vital words missing from your post!!

But if my guess is correct... I think you're talking about the tranny oil cooler - I believe it's integral to the rad on V8 autos... Was this oil red?

Power steering pipes or transmission cooler pipes?

Could it be transmission fluid?

There is a cooler for that around the same area.

If its a manual diesel - then the rad has an internal built in cooler for the gearbox oil rather than a separate one. Only about a quart dribbled out of mine, but when replaced top up the gearbox level.
